To Tan or not?

To Tan or not for your Boudoir Session!

A common question clients ask me is ‘Should I tan before my boudoir session?’

The answer is NO!

Tanning outside

If you sun tan outside in a bikini or swimsuit then you will definitely get sun tan lines and those are SUPER hard to fix in Photoshop, especially if you also get Burnt!! I suggest avoiding harsh tan lines before your session and DEF don’t get a sun burn!

Spray Tan

Spray tans have an orange undertone and although you might not notice it in person, the camera will pick it up. It also makes color balancing difficult as we have to color balance you separately from the overall image.

Tanning beds

If you MUST tan then did a tanning bed nude where you can get an even tan all over is the best option!! But not too close to your session as you will possibly have some redness.

Uneven skintone

We can always add a tan or even out your skin tone in Photoshop or even out your skin tone if you are uneven!
